This guide will help you to understand how to panelise round shaped PCB’s and how to ensure the has mechanical stability for the production process.

A stable panel is one that does not sag or bend and is thus mechanically stable during the production process.

With round shaped PCB’s the only available separation method is Break routing and the following recommendations should be followed.

  • Keep at least 10mm clearance between round shaped PCB’s when using a 2mm routing tool (increase this if a larger routing tool is to be used.
  • Use a minimum of 4 break-out-tabs placed at 45°angles. Larger boards will require more break-out-tabs.
